Air Buddy – Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains what data is used by the application, for what purpose, and how it is protected.
Data Collected
The application does not collect any personally identifiable information.
It only uses:
📍 Location Data
- Precise location
- Approximate location
- Required permission: “Allow all the time”
This data is used exclusively to:
- Measure air quality during user movements
- Operate when the application is open or running in the background
- Generate:
- A measurement history for the last 24 hours
- A daily average over the last 7 days
👉 Location data is never used to track users, identify individuals, or analyze personal travel routes.
No User Account Required
The application does not require a user account.
When the app is opened for the first time, the user is invited to tap “Start the experience”.
This action is solely intended to:
- Generate an anonymous technical identifier
- Use backend APIs in order to:
- Store air quality measurements
- Improve data analysis and measurement accuracy
🔐 This identifier:
- Is not linked to any personal information
- Does not allow user identification
- Does not allow tracking of individual movements
Use of Data
Collected data is used exclusively to:
- Provide relevant air quality measurements
- Create anonymous statistics
- Improve the reliability and accuracy of analyses
❌ No data is:
- Sold
- Shared with third parties for commercial purposes
- Used for advertising purposes
Data Storage and Security
Air quality data is securely stored on backend servers.
All measurements are associated only with an anonymous identifier and do not allow any personal identification.

Air quality data is processed by IFP Energies Nouvelles (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”).

- Modify or revoke location permissions via your device settings
- Uninstall the application to stop all data collection
